Cleo the Cloud Caterpillar -- by S.S. Eaton | Airlift

Look Up. What Do You See?

Somewhere up in the sky, drifting between the cotton-white shapes and the blue, a caterpillar named Cleo is looking for something. And if you lie on your back long enough—and look just right—you just might catch a glimpse of her.

Cleo the Cloud Caterpillar is a whimsical children's picture book that turns a lazy afternoon of cloud-watching into a full-blown adventure. Along the way, young readers discover the word for something they've probably been doing their whole lives without knowing it had a name: pareidolia—the wonderful art of finding familiar shapes hiding in the clouds.

This is a book that:

• Sparks imagination and invites children to slow down and look up
• Introduces a big, fun word that kids will love to say (and teach to their parents)
• Turns everyday cloud-watching into a shared sense of wonder
• Makes the perfect read-aloud for curious, creative young minds

Because the best adventures sometimes start with nothing more than a patch of grass, a blue sky, and a little imagination.
