J.P. Reid
J.P. Reid has faced Usher Syndrome since birth. Her hearing loss was discovered early on, and she later lost her peripheral vision. Despite these challenges, she refused to think of herself as handicapped or impaired. Her story is one of determination, success, and achievement. J.P. Reid taught school for over 20 years. Teachers with whom she taught sometimes called her the "Grammar Guru" and would come to her for advice. She especially enjoyed teaching grammar, German, drama, and math. She taught private piano, organ, and German lessons. She directed multiple plays. She has lived most of her life in Utah but spent nearly two years in Germany and five years in Arkansas. She has traveled to many countries, including Japan (where her parents lived), Mexico, Canada, and many European countries (including England.) Language has intrigued her since she was a young child. When she was in elementary school, her goal was to be a Japanese teacher, and she learned some Japanese. She studied German in junior high, high school, and college. She studied Spanish while she was a school teacher. She has also studied ASL. Her parents were both educators. Her father was a theater professor, and her mother taught school, having minored in English. Because of their backgrounds, J.P. Reid learned much about language from both parents. Because of the "Diary of Anne Frank" play she saw as a young child with her parents, she decided to keep a diary and has faithfully kept either a diary or a journal since then. At the age of seven, J.P. began piano lessons. She began organ lessons as a teenager. Voice lessons were started when she was an adult. She taught private piano and organ lessons for many years. She has accompanied many choirs and soloists on the piano and the organ. In addition to English, math was an easy subject for her to master. She acquired the nickname "The Brain" in her Algebra class in high school. She considered math to be exciting and loved teaching it. Many students who had not previously appreciated math learned to enjoy it in her class. She was an athlete and always participated in sports. Her favorites were basketball, volleyball, softball, and running. She played on many teams, most recently a county softball team. Coaching a teenage basketball team was satisfying for her. J.P. Reid is the mother of five girls and one boy. She and her husband enjoy hiking, camping, and experiencing life together. J.P. enjoys math and word puzzles, writing, researching, playing the organ, walking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Ty Will
Renowned author of "The Female Veteran", Ty Will created a little book for her son when he was small. When she finally met with Airlift Publishing, LLC, she knew the story had a home. The book is about a statement her young son made as they were introduced to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by a pair of LDS missionaries. Her son admired the white shirts and ties worn by them and also worn by many of the younger church members on Sunday. He was curious about the meaning of this tradition and inquired until all his questions were answered, and he finally received his own white shirt and tie. A fun story about respect, ordinances, and a path chosen to get closer to Jesus Christ. Illustrations are simple and enjoyable as well. See what your son, daughter, or grandchildren think about this boy's explorations.

Kelly C and B Laura Wilson
Kelly and Laura created the beautiful depictions of Jesus Christ found in the workbook "Choosing Him" by Suzanne S. Eaton. In his early teens, Kelly Wilson loved Charles Schulz's "Peanuts" cartoon and started successfully creating his own cartoons. He desired to be an artist but did not see how it could create a full-time living. After high school, he joined the Marine Corps, went on a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ, and then attended college. Kelly studied communications and advertising and completed the MBA program at Brigham Young University. He became a businessman and focused his efforts on making a living, but he always hoped to work within his passion, creating beautiful artwork. After marriage, nine children, and a divorce, he retired, somewhat disillusioned, still not knowing how to focus his abilities. Kelly became reacquainted with B Laura Lercher Johnson, whom he had known as a teen. Laura had married and had 12 children before her divorce. They had much in common, especially their love of art. Laura graduated with a master's degree in fine arts from Brigham Young University and has been a private, college, and public-school art instructor. Kelly was a willing and enthusiastic student. They married and have combined their skills to generate beautiful images and art that keep them both inspired and producing new ideas. Kelly's knowledge of technology and expertise with photo and art manipulation programs has enhanced their artistic dreams. They have worked together to create beautiful depictions of Jesus Christ, which are placed in this book. Laura brings a nostalgic warmth to all their creations. In her paintings, she is constantly reaching for that something we can't quite remember, something we've all felt before. Kelly and Laura have shared this collection of images of Jesus Christ with those of you who desire to use this journal to become closer to Him. "Our sacred places begin with the home and stand as a refuge in the turmoil of our lives. I want my paintings to feel like a refuge, a place of safety, where the Son still makes you warm, a quiet place where you can commune with the Savior and own yourself for a moment." --B Laura Wilson "I know that Jesus Christ loves us all without reservation and that He is my Savior. I have a special goal to make Christ known to the whole world, bringing closeness to the Savior and to all God's children in a graphic and personal way through art." --Kelly C Wilson The Wilsons' many other works can be found at: Facebook.com/laurasutahart Contact them at blaurawilson@gmail.com kwilson0463@gmail.com
